The Apple iPhone 6 Plus is now $50 cheaper at Walmart locations throughout the United States. The best selling phablet of the last three months is on sale through February 2015.
Walmart has cut the 16GB edition of the iPhone 6 Plus from $279 to $229. That deal includes a two-year voice and data plan from either AT&T, Verizon, or Sprint. Sam’s Club has also cut the cost of the phablet from $277 to $227.
In the three months ending in October, the iPhone 6 Plus grabbed a massive 41% of the U.S. phablet market, even though it was only available since mid-September. According to market watcher Kantar WorldPanel, phablets, or smartphone devices with a screen of 5.5-inches or larger, accounted for 10% of overall smartphone sales.
This isn’t the best deal Walmart has given on Apple’s next generation devices. During Black Friday sales customers could pick up the iPhone 6 for $129 when combined with a free $75 Walmart gift card. Customers could pick up the iPhone 5S for just $49 at that time.
Not in the market for an Apple device? Walmart has you cover with a Samsung Galaxy S5 that has been discounted to $79 from a recently reduced price of $139.
Want an even better deal on your iPhone 6 Plus deal? Walmart is also offering phone trade-ins that can sweeten the pot with further reduced pricing.
Is the $229 price point for the Apple iPhone 6 Plus enough to drive you into a Walmart store to purchase Apple’s first phablet?
