Detroit gathering focuses on urban entrepreneurs

DETROIT (AP) — The White House is planning a gathering in Detroit that's focused on helping urban entrepreneurs.

Thursday's event is at downtown's Cobo Center. It's hosted by the U.S. Small Business Administration and the White House Business Council. The White House says in a statement that officials expect to discuss efforts to create private sector jobs and ways to assist urban entrepreneurs.

The Detroit Urban Economic Forum is the seventh of a multi-city series.
