They would not have been in business for a decade and a half if they weren't reputable. It's the sellers, not eBay itself, that you have to pick and choose the reliability of. eBay is just the middleman and tries hard to keep everything fair and on the level.

There is nothing wrong with ebay BUT they only provide a service for individual sellers to advertise their products so ebay does not have any control over the products for sale. You have to check out each individual seller you want to purchase from

It all depends on the seller. the sellers have rating next to their names. You can click on the ratings and read the reviews. I've been buying and selling via eBay for 8 or 9 years and have only ever had one bad experience.
