Ann leases an office in Ted's building for a one-year term. At the end of the period specified in then lease, the lease ends without notice, and possession of the office returns to Ted.

If Ann dies during the period of the lease, what happens to the leased property?

residential tenancy law and commercial tenancy law is not exactly similar.

I am wondering if you are asking 'can any living relative be obligated to pay the rest of the
lease--if a tenant passes during their lease? NO.'

If instead, a company rented the unit and the CEO signed the lease, the company is still
responsible.
