Section 8 Housing in SF Bay Area, California?
I was told that its illegal for section 8 tenants to pay out of their pocket for the difference in house rent . For Example: if the rent is 2500 and the Hud pays 1800, then the tenant cant pay 700. Is this true? Also, does this mean, if a landlord does accept the delta payment, he could potentially be sued?
I am a landlord and this is not true. I have had section 8 clients for years and in 90% of the cases section 8 only pays for part of the rent. where did you hear this? I have never heard anything like this before and if its true then I would be in deep **** but....I seriously doubt this.7 years ago
