Tips for presenting survey data using excel?
I've been given survey results on an excel spreadsheet . I need to provide the results of the data in graph format in an excel document and present these results. I was told "simply physically counting the raw data is not acceptable".
What are some good tips/tricks to show off my knowledge? I know how to do basic graphs but I was wondering if there's a way I can really impress them.
Excel has some pretty sophisticated charting options. Sometimes you just have to play around with it and determine what works best. Then you can tweak the colors, the size of the bars (or circles, or cones), and so on. Three-dimensional often looks better than two-dimensional.
However, don't get overly fancy. The goal is to display the data clearly and understandably. Go with simplicity over complexity.
Hope that helps.
