Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview (8.10.12382.878) New Update Available with Bug Fixes and Camera Improvements

Microsoft has started rolling out an update to Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers.

The Redmond based tech major released Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers on14 April. Along with this, the company announced the opening of Windows Phone Dev Center for publishing Windows Phone 8.1 apps and linking Windows and Windows Phone app to create universal Windows apps.

Now, just a month after the release of the Developer Preview programme, Microsoft has announced the roll out of a new update to Windows Phone 8.1 Preview for Developers with build number 8.10.12382.878.

Those who have not yet received the update notification can navigate to Settings >> Phone Update and click check for updates.

There is no much information about the changes the new update brings, but the Windows Blog notes the update includes several improvements based on users feedback.

Meanwhile, Joe Belfiore, Microsoft's vice president of Windows and User Experience tweeted that Windows phone 8.1 news bits is available with plenty of bug fixes and some battery improvements.

Recently, the company confirmed through its official support page that Windows Phone 8.1's life cycle will begin on 24 June and the mainstream support will end on 11 July 2017.

The support page also confirms that the Windows Phone 8.1 updates will be available for the operating system, including security enhancements for 36 months, after the life cycle starts.
