The E-commerce industry is growing and according to recent infographic from Invesp, by 2014,  53% of total retail sales ( online and offline) will be affected by online activity of consumers. 81% of consumers do research online before making a purchase decision and spend 18-36% more as compared to consumers who don’t do any kind of research.

The infographic also reveals that an average consumer check 10.4 information sources before making a purchase. Search engines is the most popular sources for consumers to research information online followed by manufacturer website.

Discounts , Deals and Promotions is the biggest motivation factor (48%) that encourage consumers to make regular purchases followed by quality products (42%) , Good product value ( 42%) , Free samples (42%) and customer loyalty programs ( 38%)
