Time, we never seem to have enough of it.
We try to search for more time in each and every day. But ironically, we’re all given the same amount of time in a day, 24 hours.
Instead of trying to search for more time, what if you made a decision to set aside time.
What if you were able to set aside something as simple as 20 minutes a day?
20 minutes a day doesn’t seem like much and that’s the beauty of it.
But what should you do in those 20 minutes each and every day?
Use those 20 minutes each and every day to do one and only one thing.
Block out the rest of the world; lock the door, turn of the smart phone, disable internet connectivity if you must, and focus on doing just one thing.
If you’ve wanted to start reading once again, then use those 20 minutes to read. Don’t do anything else; don’t even take notes, just read.
If you’ve wanted to start writing, then use those 20 minutes to write. Don’t do anything else. If you’re mind gets stuck and you don’t know what to write, just keep writing, even if it doesn’t make sense.
With 20 minutes you can create a focused and concentrated effort on doing just one thing.
This isn’t revolutionary or ground breaking, it’s rather quite simple. And most things that help create consistency and positive worthwhile habits are simple actions that you and I can do, without much effort.
The purpose of setting aside 20 minutes a day is to create consistency. With consistency you create habits. With just 20 minutes set aside each and every day you’re creating a habit. A habit that will help you focus and do the one thing that’s most important to you each and every day.
What will you do with the 20 minutes you’re setting aside?
