Officials visit WVa to highlight small businesses

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — The nation's top small business official will tour two Morgantown operations.

U.S. Small Business Administrator Karen Mills will join U.S. Sens. Jay Rockefeller and Joe Manchin Wednesday during an event to highlight the success of small businesses in West Virginia. They will tour Advantage Health and Wellness and AAMCO of Morgantown.

Advantage Health and Wellness built its facility for chiropractic, physical therapy and massage therapy with the help of an SBA-backed loan. The new facility helped the company grow from 12 to 27 employees.

AAMCO of Morgantown was built with an SBA-backed loan that enabled it to create 14 jobs.

The visit is part of the Teaming to Win conference, which brings together small business owners annually.
