So, what are some ways to integrate mobile into your current recruiting strategies? Here are some great ways to get started:

  1. Use microsites to customize your content for each job category or recruiting event. This can be particularly effective with college recruiting. It’s easy to set-up a microsite for each college or university where you recruit and you can brand the content to make it specific to that location.
  2. Include QR codes in your recruitment materials. The QR code can direct the candidate back to a microsite with tailored content or your company’s main website.
  3. Be comfortable with communicating with candidates in new ways. We tend to be tied to email, but also consider that some candidates prefer to correspond via text.
  4. For candidates who are located in different geographic locations, it might make sense to use video chat options that are available through your mobile devices (FaceTime, Skype, etc.). This can be a huge convenience factor for the candidate and also save your organization travel budget dollars.

Mobile recruiting tools should enhance your existing recruiting strategy. By successfully implementing some of these items, your time-to-fill and cost-per-hire could be dramatically reduced.
