    Wanelo (a combination of the words Want, Need, Love) solves the buying problem on Pinterest. When Pinterest was first starting out, many of the links were directly to their correct e-commerce product page, as they were updated by the companies themselves or customers.

    However, with the growth of Pinterest comes even more and more pins that are going to broken pages, blogs that offer no option to buy the item shown, or even content that doesn’t describe the product at all.

    Wanelo solves this problem. All of its items go directly to the page where they can be purchased. No more pinning ebay items where the auction has ended and you’ll never be able to buy it. Because Wanelo specializes on the ability for users to instantly buy any item instantly, it is more committed to providing shoppers and e-commerce businesses a better browsing and purchasing experience in a visual format.

    As of now, many of the products on Wanelo are for women, including beauty, home decor, clothes, jewlery, etc., with the demographic skewing slightly to the younger generation, ages 14-30. Sites like Wanelo and Pinterest are all about creativity, so businesses shouldn’t worry about competitors. Instead, they should focus on building themselves as a resource and great source of inspiration for users’ wish lists.
