Jennifer Lawrence’s Garlic Breath Made Liam Hemsworth Uncomfortable

Jennifer Lawrence is admired by millions of men around the world, but the Oscar winner’s Hunger Games costar Liam Hemsworth has raised questions about her missing abilities.

During a Q&A segment on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Friday, November 14, Hemsworth revealed that Lawerence’s “garlic breath” and “tuna breath” made it hard to finish their kissing scens during filming on the upcoming Mockingjay movie.

A Twitter user asked the 24-year-old star what the most awkward scene for him to shoot was, he paused for a second and then revealed, “Anytime I had to kiss Jennifer was pretty uncomfortable.”

Immediately following that question Jimmy Fallon questioned his judgment. “When you look at it on the outside, it looks like a great picture,” Hemsworth explained. “She’s one of my best friends, I love her, but if we had a kissing scene, she would make a point of eating garlic or tuna fish or something that was disgusting. Right before the scene she’d be like, ‘Yeah, I ate tuna’ or ‘I had garlic, and I didn’t brush my teeth.’ And I’d be like, ‘Fantastic, I can’t wait to get in there and taste it!'”

The Katniss and Gale actors are good friends, and Jennifer Lawrence’s garlic breath was just an attempt by the A-list actress to have some fun with a buddy while filming what might have otherwise been awkward scenes.

Also in the interview, Liam Hemsworth admits that the classic movie Titanic made him cry. “Well you know, every time I watch it, when [Leonardo] DiCaprio dies, I know it’s coming, but…yeah man, just seeing that beautiful guy die, it’s so heartbreaking,” he joked.

Watch closely when you watch the movie and let us know if you think Jennifer Lawrence’s garlic breath negatively affected her kissing scenes with Liam Hemsworth.

The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 opens on November 21.
