You’ve got your social media accounts set up but now what? How do you build your audience to ENGAGE your existing and potential consumers? If you aren’t considering Facebook ads, maybe you should be!
A few months back there was a lot of discussion by a few of the major automotive companies as to whether Facebook advertising actually worked.
Two makers said yes, another said absolutely not. Then, Samsung announced a HUGE impact on sales and this Michigan Supreme Court candidate credited her election triumph to her Facebook ad campaign!
That said, a lot of marketers think that if they simply create a Facebook page or a Twitter account and post every once in a while, the fans will come running.
These folks are in for a rude awakening.
Yes, you can run a FB page promotion to generate likes, but you seriously risk gaining followers who just want the chance to win something great.
I don’t know about you, but I am certainly guilty of that.
Those aren’t the kind of engaged, excited, invested, influential superfans you are looking for.
No, you want the kind of fans who like you because they actually like your brand or your product. And they also aren’t the kind of fan who will share this affinity with their average network of 250 friends.
But if they don’t know that you even have a fan page, how are they ever going to find you?
It’s targetable, affordable, easy to implement and has a clear call to action!
But remember, once you run your campaign and you have garnered more “likes,” you need to remember that the real key is to KEEP engaging your fans so that your brand is top-of-mind when they are ready to make a purchase.
What do you think of Facebook advertising – yeay or nay?
