    On October 1, 2013, open enrollment in the Health Insurance Marketplace begins.  Across all 50-states, votes and committees are deciding how state-level exchanges will be managed and how to best announce policy changes.

    New Mexico is solving their healthcare announcements with some agency-support.

    The state voted on a unique approach to its health insurance marketplace: for individuals seeking health insurance, New Mexico will operate an exchange in partnership with the federal government. Small businesses will shop for health insurance on a state-run exchange.

    To avoid any confusion from individuals and businesses on exactly where to go, the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange plans on spending more than 7 million dollars on marketing and public relations.

    The final contract amount is still being decided, but Wisconsin-based BVK has already been selected to help promote the health insurance exchange and educate the uninsured on how to get coverage…. That’s a healthy deal.
