    Accelerated depreciation

    Any depreciation method that produces larger deductions for depreciation in the early years of an asset&rsquo;s life. <a href="term-accelerated-cost-recovery-system-acrs.html">Accelerated cost recovery system (ACRS)</a>, which is a depreciation schedule allowed for tax purposes, is one such example.
