As employers, do you folks ever check the "Resume" section of Craigslist?
I'm trying to figure out if it's even worth my time posting there because the spammers are out of hand.1 year ago - 2 answers
No one looks at that. Employers want resumes and cover letters, to prove you aren't just sending out the same thing to everyone. Plus if your resume just sits there on CL, then there is no proof that you are being proactive.
Employers can post once they'll easily get 100 emails. They're not going to search through CL to find their candidate.
I'm not an employer, but that's just a waste of time. You become a target for spammers and scammers, and legit employers don't look there because a) they'll be better off spending that time posting a job ad to get the kind of people they want and b) they figure people who put their resumes there have trouble getting or keeping a job for a reason.by Pearls Before Swine - 1 year ago
