Is it illegal to have a continuous bake sale without operating as a "business"?

in Texas? I have been baking for a LOOOOOOOOONG time(over 20 years). I have maybe 5 baked items that I would like to sell. The social network is already in place which means I already have access to possible customers and that word of mouth advertising will travel like wildfire. This is just a thought for now. I could of course simply ask for "donations" without setting a price but that gets messy really quick.

You know the answer to this, and if you do it for money it's a business...even in Texas. And just because your first customers come from "word of mouth", exactly how are you going to tell them not to "mouth" it to people they know in their network who just might happen to know someone working with someone in the tax department, board of health, etc.
