A resume with real-world business experience wins an accounting interview.

Emphasize your involvement with any businesses, procedures, programs, etc., you've had experience with.

Accounting is called "The language of business." You can have the greatest accounting credentials in the history of the world, and you won't be worth anything if you've had no business experience. The reverse is also true. Even if your accounting credentials are light, if you have heavy business experience it will win out.

First do you have a degree in accounting? If not, you need to go back to school and get one. If you already have one start sending resumes to the major accounting firms.
