What would be a good way to handle this situation with her employer?

Every time business is slow, her employer always tells her to go home early because she is the highest paid employee. Obliviously it cuts into her basic needs. How could she handle this without feeling threatened about her job?

She needs to find productive things to do that will increase business. She is not paid to stand around and do nothing

Nothing she can do about it. The employer has the right to send her home.
