Question

what are all the licenses and I.D's that I need to start an online business?

I am in cincinnati, OH. so I want to make sure I get this taken care of properly? should I go down to city hall or a tax place to obtain these documents? I am skeptical of doing it online. If there is a reputable online place I can do this then I am willing to try that.
Also I dont have any employees so just a bit of FYI. I am just selling accessories and shoes.

Go to www.score.org/mentors and enter your zip code. On the next screen, you will get information on the nearest SCORE chapter. Call them and arrange for a free meeting with a volunteer SCORE mentor. They will guide you through the process and you can meet with them as many times as you need to.

SCORE is a nonprofit association dedicated to entrepreneur education and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide and is a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

SCORE has 350 chapters in locations throughout the United States and its territories, with 13,000 volunteers nationwide. Both working and retired executives and business owners donate time and expertise as business mentors.

my friend is 100% right with a single caveat; SCORE and other reputable operations have NOTHING
to do with on line firms BECAUSE 99% of on line companies earn no profits. Excluding
Amazon and Ebay + 2-3 others, America is not yet ready for internet purchasing on a consistent level.

I used to be a SCORE counselor and i advised my clients to open a fixed site ONLY, after
doing market research and writing a biz plan.

There is no benefit WHATEVER, to filling with any political body, if you are limititing yourself
to an on-line business. Some cities try to tax such activites to no avail.

I can guide further--so, if you are dead set on going ahead JUST do it without a biz license or
tax ID until you are pocketing 10k a mo
