What are some good tips for a 16 yr old that has just started babysitting/cleaning/pet-sitting jobs at $9/hr?

Like what to say to the people you start doing it for and how to make them want to choose you instead of others to do that job for them again. What to ask about what they want done and how to be polite but firm. If you're babysitting, what is the correct way to interact with the kids, and get them to do things that the parents requested, like go to bed? What if they start a nonstop fit?

don't be afraid to ask a lot of questions about how the customer wants things done, like, what should I do with these 150 empty beer cans, or what do I do when your child throws a tantrum...
