Small Towns On The East Coast...?

I've Been Trying To Find A Nice Small Town On The East Coast (Mostly In Maine, New York Or Maybe Pennsylvania), And I've Noticed That There Are A Lot Where The Median Home Price Is Less Than 100k. Why Is This? Most Of Them Appear To Have Jobs Readily Available...

The small town I live in is in Pennsylvania about two hours from New York City but the prices here are not bad I paid $101,000.00 for my house and my taxes are about $2,400.00 per year. there are many towns like mine
