Your construction costs are going to vary, depending upon the following: How expensive the materials going into the home are (granite countertops or Formica?, comp roof or tile, etc). Is the home one story or two, how much grading will need to be done to put it where you want it, how far is the site from the sources of building materials?, is the builder using union labor or illegal immigrants to do the work?

The cost of the home can be as cheap as $65/sq feet to as expensive as you want. To really determine this you'll need a house blueprint. The fewer corners on the house the cheaper. For instance a single rectangle vs having a house that has the exterior wall bump out in several areas. It may typically be cheaper to build vertically than horizontally. Pick a plan where the baths and kitchen are near each other. This make the plumbing cheaper. Lastly, the finishes you use instide, linoleum vs tile, granite vs laminate, etc make big differences.
