How to determine changes using simple regression?
I created a simple regression in excel for a marketing question on how advertising (x) affects sales (y). I determined using regression that advertising does in fact affect sales. Now I need to determine how much sales will increase for each million more spent in advertising. I cannot remember to save my life.1 year ago - 1 answers
I assume you did the regression by adding a linear trend line to a scatter graph of your data. If that is the case, then Right-Click your linear trend line, Select "Format Trend line...", and Select "Display equation of chart". The equation will look like ax + b. The numner you want is the slope (the "a" in the equation), provided your x data is entered as millions.1 year ago
