Question

When you purchase something with paypal, does the item show up on your bank statement?

Or does it simply show up as "Paypal" on your banking statement? I have a joint account and want to buy something online, but I don't want the person to know what it is exactly. I want to give it as a gift, and if he sees it he will know for sure it's for him. I am hoping to keep this a surprise.

Any help here?

MY BANK STATEMENT ALWAYS SAYS "PAYPAL INST XFER" OR "PAYPAL TRANSFER". THAT IS ALL IT ALWAYS SAYS, AND I USE IT ALL THE TIME.

THE ONLY WAY THEY CAN KNOW WHAT IT IS, IS IF THEY HAVE ACCESS TO YOUR PAYPAL ACCOUNT OR EMAIL, WHERE IT SHOWS WHAT AND FROM WHOM WAS BOUGHT AND WHEN ON THE INVOICE.

It does show up as the sellers name. It wont say paypal but it will come up under whoever you buy it from.

I think it just shows up as Paypal** with the seller's ebay name or the name of the shop after the stars or something, it doesn't say the exact thing you purchased though

I do a lot of busniess through Ebay and Paypal. My statement has always read PayPal ECheck.

To keep it separated out I have it listed on my computer and save all of the payment cleared and payment sent emails until the item arrives. If you use a credit card I am not sure how it will show up. It may just depend on your bank so to be completly sure just ask your bank.
