I’ve been working in social media and content marketing for Salesforce for over two years and it’s the most amazing job of my career. I love writing, blogging, working with a team of creative people and having the job flexibility for health, wellness and my family. It truly is a #dreamjob.

With the rise of social media and content marketing comes the rise in jobs and places to post these jobs. If you’re looking for a career in social media, here are some helpful resources for the job hunt.

1. Social Media Jobs Facebook Group

With over 6,000 members, this Facebook Group is constantly updated with new positions ranging from Internships to VP level opportunities. All job postings are social media focused and cover locations around the world. Sign up for the notifications so you are aware of new postings.

2. LinkedIn Jobs

Based on your current position and past experience, LinkedIn serves up jobs relevant to you with the “Jobs You May Be Interested In” feature. It makes life easier when you don’t have to search for job groups or pages. Plus you can save the opportunities of interest in a folder and apply for them through LinkedIn. Make sure your LinkedIn profile is 100% updated before you apply for anything.

3. Mediabistro

Starting off as more of a media/news/PR space, Mediabistro has a growing social media focus, including its own social media section. I’ve posted jobs here before and it has delivered some great talent. You can also find helpful resources for job hunting including job fairs, conferences and courses.

4. Indeed

Indeed has a Google feel with a clean homepage all about search. Type in the job, the location and hit submit. That’s it. It aggregates results from many websites, so it saves you time. You can also save your searches and get notifications. I recommend the mobile app to stay up to date on the latest jobs.

5. Salesforce Dreamjobs

I can’t end this post without a little mention of Salesforce Dreamjobs. Salesforce.com helps companies connect with their customers, partners and employees and is revolutionizing the way businesses sell, service, market, and succeed. The culture is team-oriented and the company is growing at a rapid pace. Join me and 10,000 other employees in locations around the world by finding a job at salesforce.com/dreamjobs. I am here to help!
