Automated Call Distributor (ACD)
A phone system accessory that routes incoming calls among a set of extensions to ensure they are handled efficiently. ACDs are generally used in outbound telemarketing centers that process many incoming calls.

Call Detail Recording (CDR)
A reporting mechanism that generates a chronological list of every call leaving the phone system, including the extension that made the call, duration of the call, and other pertinent information.

Call Forcing
A call distribution feature. It automatically directs a waiting call to the next available agent.

Call Sequencer
An accessory that allows operators to manually distribute incoming calls based on the amount of time the caller has been waiting. It provides basic management information reports and announcements to callers in overload situations.

TSR
A term for a telephone sales representative. TSR's call potential clients with product information and sales pitches.
