green card credit score student loan?

hi. is it possible for a 20 year old student who is not married or have any kids to get approved for student loan? what if i don't have any credit score activities and have never worked before or filed for any credit cards like starting fresh! it's like getting a permanent residents card and applying for student loan right after! what are the advantages and disadvantades? if i were to be denied of loan then how long do i have to wait till my credit score is enough for me to apply and get the loan?
