Question
How to increase my chance on getting this house?
I have been looking for a place to rent for the past two months. I am exhausted. It just seems like everytime I find a house I like, something happens and it falls through. I'm meeting with a guy tomorrow to look at a house that I am interested in. Will you give me some tips on how to increase my chances on getting it?!

Well, lets see. If your renting it is always good to have references and be able to pay first and last. References are not always crucial, but your appearance is. If you seem like a trustworthy and respectable person and you are able to meet their payment requirements then there is little else you can do. If you do like the place though and want it, then you should let him know as soon as you can. Oh yes, as the above answer states, you pretty much need a job or a source of money in some way. Beyond these things you should be a shoe-in. good luck tomorrow,

It all depends on your past rental history, income, criminal check and sometimes even your credit score. You might have to downsize to an apartment that is willing to work with you.

Same advice as those above with some more. Be sure that you have ALL the required money (first, last, security, etc) and don't show up late, with someone else, or under the influence of something.
