Can someone use my maurices credit card (details)?
So i got a credit card from maurices and they sent it to my moms house in nc, and i moved to ms before it got there, so my Mom sent it to me here in ms 3 wks ago and it still hasnt arrived. im worried it got lost or stolen in the mail, so just incase i want to kno if someone can activate it without my info or if it comes already activated?? Its my first credit card im really worried please help?!?

Well ...yes someone COULD activate and use the card, but you wouldn't be liable for excessive charges on the card if that should happen. Depending on the terms of the card issuer ... if you report a card stolen or lost within the first 48 hours you usually are not liable for any charges placed on the card. After 48 hours, you can be held liable for some small amount of charges on the card (depends on the bank issuer ... but something like $50 or $75 would be your max loss) but you wouldn't be held liable for any other charges. First and foremost ... you need to immediately look up Maurice's credit issuing bank (check their website or call one of the stores) and report the card missing, lost, or stolen. That way they can cancel the card, issue you a new one, and stop the potential abuse of your name or credit. Don't waste time ... do this AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Good Luck.
