Do you think we will actually close on Tuesday?

We have been trying to close on this house for about the past 2 weeks. It went to final underwriting, and was cleared, except they decided they wanted a second appraisal since the seller bought the house less than 6 months ago. ok, so the 2nd appraisal was sent in this tuesday and my file was sent to final underwriting again... i have been told closing is scheduled for tuesday at 5:30. granted it was cleared previously, do you think we are likely to be able to actually close on this date?

Appraisals can take weeks to do, and if they come back at a different price than the first one look out it could derail your plans all together.Just be prepared to wait a little bit longer. I know it is frustrating,but just think of the end product. You will be a homeowner. Good luck and congrats on the home.

We are going through a similar process. We were told upfront that they had no idea when closing would be. Thats the truth, as so many things can slow it down.
