Visa credit card
Question
What do I do? Wells Fargo libelously placed a negative comment on my credit report.?
I need the email addresses for Wells Fargo Bank. They placed a libelous, incorrect negative comment on my credit report though my Visa credit card has been paid on time. My daughter who shares the account with me is in the process of a Chapter 13 bankruptcy because she lost her job and can’t pay her bills. So, I have assumed full responsibility and have been paying the bill for a year now. I have already called twice and sent certified letters to both Wells Fargo Bankruptcy and Collections departments. What do I do?

Write a letter to the credit reporting company that has the bad info contesting the information. They they inquire with wells fargo, usually they have a certain amount of time to respond if they dont then the mark should disappear.

Emailing Wells Fargo won't get you anywhere. Write a letter to all 3 credit reporting agencies disputing the negative comment on your credit report.

Um hte word collections says it all. Sharing an account, well, thats inviting trouble. Walk into a Wells Fargo and discuss this with them. Emailing them is liking hiding in a closet, if you need action, if you really care, get dressed, turn off the computer and go into the bank yourself and get it dealt with.

What is the negative comment? If they put on the credit report that the account is included in bankruptcy Chapter 13, then that is an accurate statement. The account is joint, so the comment will be entered on your credit report as well as hers.

The account is in both names She filed bankruptcy and claimed the account They are correct in reporting that the account was submitted for BK as it most likely was Have daughter remove that claim, and get her removed from the account

If your daughter listed the account in her Chapter 13 (and she had to do so), the account should show on your credit report as "included in the bankruptcy of another" or something similar. That is completely accurate and there is nothing you can do about it. If this is an actual joint account, you will be held liable for it anyway. But your daughter's bankruptcy won't really impact your score, as long as you pay this account. Oh, and since this account is involved in your daughter's bankruptcy, I'm sure Wells Fargo is hesitent to contact anyone about the account unless it goes thru the court and lawyers.
