Question

Health Insurance Question?

My husbands employer offers insurance to their employee's but they go to a new plan every year and I am currently 7months pregnant. Im not sure if the new plan will cover maternity care (havent gotten info on it yet) but if they do offer maternity coverage they have to cover me right if they offer it? since i have been using our insurance since we've had it for prenatal care. I just dont wanna be stuck without it.

If they offer maternity, and most groups do, they have to cover you. Pregnancy cannot be considered as a pre-existing condition.

You should be ok. But the only problem you might encounter is with your OB being on the plan. Hopefully that wont be a problem since the last thing you want to do is change OB's this far along in your pregnancy. good luck and happy baby

Right. On a group policy, maternity is not a preexisting condition. As long as they have maternity benefits, this pregnancy WILL be covered.
