Health Insurance from Canada (for USA)?
Since I'm going to US for a year I need to get health insurance while I'm there, can you please tell me what is good value these days? Thanks!

It depends what you want covered. If you just worried about emergency hospital/medical coverage SOME of the reputable travel insurance companies can cover for that long a term. If you want coverage for routine doctor visits, routine dental, eyeglasses, non-emergency prescription drugs, etc then you will have to fine something in the U.S. because no travel insurance company will cover that.

Contact travel insurance companies for quotes. There are lots to shop around at. TIC, ETFS, Manulife, Blue Cross, Ingle come to mind. Make sure to have emergency medical coverage. It is your biggest risk.
