Question
Can a VA Home Loan be used to buy a manufactured home?
I would appreciate the input from bankers, mortgage brokers and Realtors alike. By the way, I need a Realtor who understands the VA Home Loan process. I want to buy a home in Central Florida (Orlando, Kissimmee, Deland, Winter Heaven, Winter Park, Sanford, etc.). Contact me at dgon1329@aol.com if you need more info to answer this question.

Very few lenders are doing manufactured homes these days and the few that are require higher credit scores ( at least 680 ). The other poster is correct, they must be permanently affixed to the foundation and will require a few extra inspections.

What I heard in the past is that the manufactured home has to be permanently attached to the foundation, so it won't be considered a mobile home loan.

You can purchase a manufactured home using the VA loan as long as it is on a permanent foundation
