Question

Business Start-Up Help?

I'm looking to open a new business. I would like to open a consignment shop. Mostly, I, would hope to deal with used furniture and similar home decor. I need ideas that are helpful and intelligent that will help me figure out a way to get this started by finding people who would like to place their items up for consignment. Some of you may have misunderstood me. I'm looking to fill my business with items that others wish to have consigned, so, I need ideas that will help me get the attention of people with such merchandise. Now, any ideas?

Here's a few ideas on how to get some more items in for consignment; - Setup a table at your local flea market with a few sample items and information about your business. People who attend flea markets are highly targeted potential customers and are more likely to use a business such as your to purchase and dispose of items. - Visit yard sales in your area during the season and drop off a flyer describing your business. Any furniture that may end up not being sold may come to your business. - Talk with some of the new furniture stores in your area. Quite often they will pick up old furniture for free when delivering new items and this may be an additional revenue stream for both of you. Hope these ideas help! Cheers! Chris
