credit card
I bought someting at CVS & returned it Thanksgiving morning and no credit on Debit Card?
Question
Charges to Old Credit Card?
I got a new credit card in the mail to replace my one that is expiring soon. If I have an automatic payment for a phone bill or something in a few weeks charged to my old card that I forgot about (before it expires), will it simply appear as a charge on the new card?

If you got a new credit card because the old one is expiring it is still the same account. The cards are just good for so long and then they replace them. Just the card not the account. If you are actually switching to a new credit card then you need to stop the automatic charges (if you are closing the old account). If it's just a new card on the same account then nothing is changing except you get a shiney new card.

Yes, the number of the card should still be the same. If it is not you would need to update your account information with your creditors that are set up for auto pay.

Not necessarily. If your new card has a different set of numbers then it won't happen automatically. Call up the phone company and go to their billing department and give them the new credit card number to continue your automatic bill payment. I had to do this numerous times over the years when my check card expired.

Usually yes. Charges appear on a credit card account, not a credit card. Only the physical piece of plastic expires and is replaced. The account, which is where the automatic payment appears, does not expire, continues to exist, and is not replaced.
