Question
Can you afford to live on your own?
I see a lot of college educated adults moving back home with their parents. Why is that? Is it poor money management skills?

The bad economy is one reason, but people also coddle their children too much. At one point people started working and taking on family responsibilities at 15...then 18... then 21 and each time the consensus age for "adult" went up people continued to act like children and spoiled brats for longer and longer. Now people on average don't finish college until around age 24- At that age women already lose half of their most reproductive years and they don't have a single penny because they just graduated. At this rate in the next couple of generations school won't stop until 31- so at 30 they will still be having keg parties and coming to their parents for money. People only begin acting like adults WHEN THEY ARE FORCED TO by having to work and being on their own. Not when they hit a certain number. Hence- aside from the economy, alot of them are moving back with their parents simply because they can.

They're blowing their money on stupid things...Loans, credit cards, bills, and car notes are eating them alive. I know I can afford to live on my own...I pay $500.00 for rent, about $50.00 for water, $75.00 for lights, and $20.00 for insurance.
