When a product is designed, manufactured and sold is it too late to apply for a patent?

It depends on where you want to get a patent. In the U.S. there is a 1 year grace period from the first public use....in your case, that would probably be the date you first offered it for sale...assuming there were no secrecy agreements involved....if it was less than a year ago...you still have a chance....but it takes time to prepare an application....dont expect patent lawyers and agents to be tripping over each other to take your case if there is only a few weeks left.

Uhm, what? If a product has been designed manufactured and sold it should of been patented along time before even being distributed. But if it hasnt been patent'd yet, do it now!
