Question
What website will tell me how much any house is worth?
I heard somewhere that there is a website out there similar to google maps, except you can click on any house and see how much the house is worth/would be sold for? Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Zillow is the most popular but I think the prices are about 25% high since they are based mostly on asking price and not selling price. Your real estate agent does the same thing and will give you what are called "comps"

No website could give you an accurate value. That is what appraisals are for. The value of a house is determined by so many things...location, damages, age, lot size, etc. Only a professional can give you those details.

You heard about www.zillow.com. The only problem with Zillow is that it varies from very accurate to as much as 40% off the mark. Don't trust it.
