How Do you Become Bonded?

I'm a stay at home mom and am wanting to earn some extra money on the side. I live in Texas and have thought of starting a pet sitting business. I know you have to be bonded, but how do you go about getting bonded for something like this in Texas?

OK, bonded doesn't mean what you think it means, and you don't HAVE to be bonded, here in Texas. BUT. If you want a bond (which will pay a set value, to the named client, if you steal their dog), you go to a local insurance agent. It will probably run you $100, for a $1,000 bond, and is NOT transferrable - that means, you'd have to buy one for EACH client.
