As others have stated, yes they can call you any day of the week. The best way to avoid this is live up to your financial obligations, even if it means attempting to make alternate arranges (outside of the loan agreement) to handle the debt. They don't WANT to call you, they just want you to hold up your end of the agreement.

I don't see why not, although it would be a little rude. If you owed me money I would call you on a Sunday when you're most likely to be at home.

This is a very unusual thing to do. Maybe some zealot of the bank was checking you were at that address. I suggest you check with the bank to make sure the person who visited was genuine, regardless of any ID he/she might have been carrying.

I suppose they can if the bank you had the loan with is open on Sunday. Otherwise you may be getting a call from a collection agency that can call on Sunday to collect on debts.

they can call you anytime from 7am to 9pm 7 days a week if they want to. even christmas day! best speak tot hem and sort out a payment plan

What you should do is take a look at the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Google it or pull it up on Wikipedia. I think wikipedia has it summarized very well.
