How do home auctions work?
We found this beautiful house online that says its up for auction. My family and I were wondering questions like these: 1. How much money can you get off of the homes value if its on auction? 2. If no one is interested in the home at auction, do they constantly lower the opening bid? 3. If a home has serious damage to it, what can we do?

It really depends on the individual property--as far as damage-consider it when bidding. The bank has a predetermined minimum they will accept--and will have someone bidding on their be-half -so it will not be sold for less then their minimum.
