Question
Debit card problem question?
My dad lost his debit card and wants a paypal account. He wants to know if he can retrieve his routing number and account number online. If he can will you please give me a website where he can retrieve his information? Thank you. Oh and his bank is wachovia and we live in new york I'm not sure if I need to tell you the state we live in or not but just in case. No please believe me I'm not trying to steal anything. I'll remove this question if you want me to I'm sorry if I caused any problems I'll just ask my dad to call his bank or something. I would never steal anything from my father! Please don't think that I'm that kind of person I have respect for myself and my father I don't know how I can get you to believe me but please do. I would not steal 1 penny from my father even though of all the things he's done to me and my family. I'm not trash I would not take anything from my family!

yes wachovia has the info on his account online. He'll have to login and check his account. If this is too complicated, then just call the 1-800 number for customer service that is listed on the website. or he can look on the bottom of his checks. first set of numbers is the routing # and the 2nd set is account #, 3rd set of 4 digits is the check #. You don't need that.

Why do I get the feeling you are hoping one of us is naive enough to give you information you can use to steal from your dad's debit card? If he lost his debit card, he should report it to the bank..and get a new one..meaning he wouldn't have one to use on PayPal. Nice try, kid, I am not buying your story..most of us over 40 won't. LOL

I'll bite lol. The routing number and account numbers can be found on a check. The first long set of numbers is the routing number, the second set is the account number, and the last four or so is the check number. This is stuff you could have googled, or your dad could have easily gotten from his Online Banking. However, using that feature with PayPal requires that you enter that information exactly. Then PayPal deposits a few cents into your dad's bank account, and then he has to verify the amount deposited so that it becomes active. So it's not like you can do this for him. The situation sounds fishy, but there you go. If you are thinking about doing it without his permission, don't! (ie illegal lol)
