Question
Insurance confusion! Please help!?
Ok, so heres the situation... Im 17 years old, i have just passed my driving test, and i am in full time education training to be a dental nurse. Im a trying so hard to find a weekend job, but cant find one! So basically money is tight. I have a Ford Ka V reg (1999) and i want third party fire and theft insurance which i can pay monthly, as i cant afford fully comp and its only my first cheapy car anyway. It has not been modified or anything like that and i did my pass plus after i passed my practical test. On price comparison websites Ensleigh seem to give me the cheapest quote but thats still just under 1400 pounds. Thats for third party fire and theft!!! My brother had Adrian Flux when he was my age and they were quite cheap. Do you know any companies that could give me a cheaper quote? Please help me! Thanks! Sophie x

People always assume that 3rd party insurance will be a lot cheaper. It isn't! It does save you money but it still costs quite a bit. Your car may not be worth a lot of money but if you run into a top of the range BMW or Audi then the 3rd party costs, including personal injury, can be horrendous. So don't expect to get cheap cover.
