What you do is find the standard format, put out your release and see if anyone picks it up. Chances are, unless you know someone, it won't happen.

Here's a list of press release services: www ... theopenpress ... prurgent ... You could also try writing a few articles about your site and submit them to the article directories. Articles tend to give you more exposure because they can be reprinted on many different websites over a longer period of time. You may also want to start an auto-responder series for your readers and have them help you promote your website and news updates to their contact lists.
