Question
Does the company SMC really work?
I was watching a infomercial about 4am this morning about this SMC company. Where you can work at home and sell these things on live or in flea markets and make money. BUT, I want to actually talk to someone who has actually done it. Not some actor getting paid for it. So, have you or are you doing SMC sales? If so, let me know... How is it going? How long do you put into it a week? Is it worth the register fee? Just basics...Pros and Cons please. It seems legit, but now days you can never tell. Thank you in advance.

Go to Ripoffreport.com and do a search. I remember reading quite a few complaints. One person reported trying the flea market route and found that others were selling the exact same products for less than she could by them from SMC.

I personally have been involved with the company, and I have a couple good things to say, some bad, and some not experienced. The prices are reasonable for the products they offer, which helps. Very possible to make money. This was the good parts, as well as a dropship option, which helps eliminate the shipping cost and puts it onto the customer. The bad part that I exeprienced is it costs a lot of money for the "help" they offer. Talking with my sales coach it was recommended that I pay another $600, give or take, for the "best" result. In the end, with the cost of the website, it is not as cheap as you are led to believe. There is plenty of potential, if you are able to get past the costs. I had not used the shipping service as I did not order anything from them, so with that aspect I do not have that experience to say good or bad. As a result, I opted out within the timeframe given to cancel, but was told I was late, however they "extended" the timeframe and I had to have my business kit postmarked by a certain date. Even after I did what they needed I have been billed since along with never receiving my refund. It was then turned over to a collection company to bully me, too bad for them I had everything needed to argue the charges. Still no refund. In the end I feel I came out ahead even after losing my inital $25 set up fee. Maybe you have more time, money, and energy to put forth towards this, but I on the otherhand was looking for an online business opportunity as I had plenty of experience with, but found this to not be ideal for my cause. Also, I would like to add if you were to go through the catalogs, about 5 of them, and research through auction sites, you will see many people selling the same items with links to their SMC websites.
