Question
What do you think about "Education is Insurance" campaign by Aviva?
I have been seeing the Sachin ads on television and hoardings and was wondering what people think of the campaign and more importantly about the stance that Aviva has taken regarding "education is insurance"?

Hi Piyush, In one line: I think its a great thought. However, I think the more important point is that I have actually seen Aviva do initiatives around this and they really mean what they say. They have a number of initiatives that I have seen such as Street To School, Schoolex and others.

I think "That's a good and effective marketing strategy". For a middle class family definitely Education is the backbone / strength / helping tool to come up in life. No matter whether you are a boy or a girl; if you are a graduate you are sure that you can some-how stand in your own legs; it might be a low-paying job or an executive job but basis on the which you are given that job is your educational qualification. So, it's definitely a good campaign.

"Education is insurance" is quite a strong statement to make. I love Sachin in the ads, he really looks like a caring parent. As long as Aviva keeps up the promise, like in the initiatives Nitesh has mentioned above, its wonderful.

Aviva is a foreign insurer came to India to do business and earn profits. Forget of any campaign. And why sachin will also bothered for such objects. He is paid huge amounts by aviva to exploit the sentiments of people like us. What if he is invited for a charity match for any social project open for everybody without any fee? It's only a marketing gimmick to benefit Aviva that is facing losses HUNDREDS OF CRORES.

My dear The hundreds of crores spent on advertisement, including the fees paid to sachin, is charged to the customer, while he takes the policy. I do not give a damn to the advertisements, whether it is sachin or sharukh. Have a nice day !

Aviva India is in heavy loss for the past 2 years.(www.iradaindia.gov) check annual reports. They are promoting their product with sachin tendulkar. This is bad marketing strategy. They are having bad cliam settlement record. Befor investing in any insurance company you should check their profit/loss statement, Claim settlement record. These informations help you to decide the right insurance company. Secure your fund from the private insurance companies. IRDA- Insurance Development Development Authority who controls the all insurance companies in india. Govt never provide you the wrong information. Dont beleive the advertisements of private insurance companies. Regards, P.Ananth lic.ananth@yahoo.com 9916908715
