Is is still free to sell a, let's say, a lawnmower, on Craigslist?
I had heard that the fellow that began it has now sold out a majority to someone else, and now there will be fees associated with using the Craigslist online classifieds if you are selling a thing...does anyone know of these changes and if so, what is the deal now? That was such a helpful tool during the summer! Thanks!

I still sell on craigslist, and it is still free. If you ever go on and try to list something and it asks for account info, like paypal, or bank info. I would probably guess that it will involve a fee. Until then sell away.

I haven't heard this. If it was true, it would be stupid - someone else would just start up another free classified website.
